The Ha Giang 4-Day Trekking Tour takes you deep into Vietnam’s northernmost mountains, where dramatic limestone peaks, winding passes, and remote ethnic villages create an unforgettable landscape. Trek through hidden trails along terraced rice fields, rocky plateaus, and lush valleys, meeting H’Mong, Dao, and Tay communities along the way. Spend nights in traditional homestays, experience local life and customs, and marvel at iconic sights like the Dong Van Karst Plateau and Ma Pi Leng Pass. This journey is perfect for adventurers who want to immerse themselves in Ha Giang’s raw beauty and rich cultural heritage.

Itinerary

DAY 1: HANOI - HA GIANG (LUNCH, DINNER)

Welcome to Vietnam!

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by the Tour Guide and car in Hanoi. 

Transfer to the local restaurant for lunch!

Around 1pm: We will head to Ha Giang by the highway (5,5 – 6 hrs driving).

 head to Du Gia with many stops to enjoy the magnificent landscape en route at Quan Ba (the Fairy Mountain), Yen Minh pinewood, and the long mountain ranges in Yen Minh – Du Gia. 

Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight in Du Gia Village.

DAY 2: DU GIA TREKKING - MEO VAC (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)

Breakfast at homestay, today we will go trekking to the waterfall Tham Luong at Du Gia and intermingle with the Tay, H’mong, Dao ethnic people in their traditional costumes. 

Lunch en route.

Go on to Dong Van Stone Plateau, on the way, the group visited Sung La Valley, Dong Van district, known to many people through the special movie “Pao’s Story”.

Visit Vuong family mansion, a unique architectural work, the pride of the highland people along with heroic historical stories.

Check-in at the homestay in Meo Vac, dinner and overnight here.  

DAY 3: MEO VAC TREKKING - NHO QUE RIVER (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)

Breakfast at homestay, this morning you will be able to trekking around the Village of Meo Vac

Lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, we’ll take a boat up Nho Que river, through Tu San canyon to see the majesty of Ha Giang. After the boat trip we pass through Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the “four great passes” of the North

Have dinner at homestay. Overnight in Meo Vac.

DAY 4: MEO VAC - HANOI (BREAKFAST, LUNCH)

After breakfast, we will pack up their luggage and enjoy the scenery of Meo Vac, then set out to return to Hanoi.

Lunch en route

Arrive in Hanoi and say goodbye to our guide and driver.

Children Policies

  • Children under 5 years old: no extra bed needed and the child sleeps with their parents: free of charge if there is one child, the second child is charged 50% of the adult tour price.
  • Children from 5-11 years old: sharing the bed with their parents, the charge is 85% of the adult tour price.
  • Children from 12 years old: charged as an adult.

Notes

  • No services have been kept until a confirmation is made in writing and a deposit of 30-80% is made; the balance is expected to be settled three working days prior to the first day of the tour.
  • Hotels and other services can be adjusted twice to the guests’ interests with no service charge.

Terms of Payment

  • VRTO accepts payment and deposit by both bank transfer and credit card using One Pay.
  • This price is usually one month valid unless a deposit is made to Confirm the booking
  • and to discuss further the routes, hotels, program design, or any other offers to the Guests.
  • Pro-forma Invoice will be provided upon the confirmation of the program.
