A majestic 30-meter-high waterfall spanning 300 meters, straddling the Vietnam-China border, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and multi-tiered cascades.
This waterfall is the number one tourist attraction in Cao Bang. It is the largest waterfall in Vietnam and located at the border to China. The waterfall originates from the Quay Son river and falls over a height of 53m. The waterfall can be visited both from the Vietnamese and Chinese side. You can take a raft out into the river to get closer and greet Chinese tourists doing the same from the other side. Best time to visit is August to September when the waterfall is most mighty and the water deep blue. Ban Gioc waterfall is located about 85km from Cao Bang city, a car ride of around 2 hours.
