Also known as Fairy Bosom, these two hills are a natural wonder associated with local legends, enhancing the area’s scenic beauty.
The mountains are located in Quan Ba district, about 40 km from Ha Giang town. According to a legend of the local H’mong people the courvaceous mountains are the breasts of a fairy that came to earth and fell in love with a handsome H’mong man who she had a son with. However the Jade Emperor requested her to return to heaven but as she feared her infant son would lack breast milk she decided to leave her breasts on earth for him. The mountains change colour in each of the four seasons depending on the stage of the rice fields.
