Cao Bang becomes more peaceful by the ancient brown tiled roofs. Most of the tiles here are taken from tile villages in Tu Do commune, where some three hamlets make tiles from clay including Lung Ri village.

The tile industry has been around for centuries and is still maintained today. In Lung Ri you can walk around the village to see how the people make tile. Today, due to the competition with other brick and tile markets in the country, the brick kilns in Lung Ri are no longer operating at full capacity. The people in addition to making tile also combine farming and animal husbandry to develop the economy.
