A historical site where Ho Chi Minh resided upon returning to Vietnam in 1941, nestled in a serene setting with a jade-like stream, significant in Vietnam’s revolutionary history.

This cave is of particular historical importance for Vietnam. It is the place where president Ho Chi Minh lived under modest conditions after his exile in China. During his time at the cave he launched to revolutionary movement to gain independence fort he nation from 1941 to 1945. He called the water source in front of the cave «source of Lenin» and the mountain covering the Pac Bo Cave «mountain of Karl Marx». The cave was destroyed by the Chinese army during the Sino-Vietnamese war in 1979. The cave was then partially restored to become and has since then become a place of historic pilgrimage.
