There are two Western toilets and two showers with hot water. A traditional Red Dzao herbal bath in a stone tub is offered since Mrs. Chieu is a Dzao. The house is surrounded by rice terraces and bamboo groves. The people living around it are mainly Nung.

Mr. Long and Mrs. Chieu are government workers with the Ho Thau Commune Committee. They wanted visitors to come and enjoy the beautiful scenery and cool weather, and also to learn about the culture of indigenous people in the area. However, their guests had few options where to stay or sleep. In 2012 they converted Mr. Long’s father’s house into a homestay in order to accommodate the growing number of visitors coming to the village. In this way they hope to contribute to the development of the village.
