Mountain biking in Cao Bang is well suited for people with limited off-road cycling experience as the rides are pretty flat and not very technical. Nonetheless, the landscape is very scenic. You will cycle through beautiful farmland with rice terraces and corn fields set against a backdrop of impressive limestone pinnacles. The cycling routes we have selected for you are located close to the border to China and you will be able to spot the Chinese border in the distance on many occasions during your ride. The region is home to many craft villages that are specialised at making products such as incense sticks, tiles, handicrafts, blacksmith products and baskets. You can stop at these villages for lunch and learn about the production process, or even try making your own craft products. Canoeing on the jade-blue Quay Son river is a fun activity to relax from mountain biking or you can visit the majestic Ban Gioc waterfall, one of the top tourist attractions in Cao Bang.
