Trekking

Back

Cao Bang has frequently been described by travel magazines as one of the top 5 trekking places in South East Asia. The countryside in Cao Bang is dotted with countless limestone pinnacles separated by valleys, gentle slopes and flat plains in between. You can climb mountains that offer a breathtaking view over this very unique landscape with its bizarre karst formations. The region is home to many craft villages that are specialised at making products such as incense sticks, tiles, handicrafts, blacksmith products and baskets. You can stop at those villages for lunch and learn about the production or even try making your own craft products. In the evening you will stay in homestays of Nung ethnic minority people and have a chance to discover local life on their farms. A good way to relax after trekking is to visit the majestic Ban Gioc waterfall, the largest waterfall in Vietnam. Cool down your feet in the river below the waterfall or even take a plunge if you dare.
