Tour Description
On this Hoang Su Phi mountain bike tour you will ride on the narrow dirt single trails that have been connecting villages and villagers for generations. Enjoy long dirt singletrack sections ranging from undulating to downhill and test your legs on climbs to the top of mountain passes. Your face will be sore from smiling as you traverse down the side of some of Hoang Su Phi’s most picturesque rice-terraced mountainsides, and travel through small villages of the local ethnic tribes.
With daily distances ranging from 25-30km there will be plenty of time to stop along the way for photos or just to take in the scenery.

08:00 | Ride from Suoi Thau CBT village to Ban Luoc commune by mountain bike along sealed road. (approx. 5 km) |
10:00 | Bus transfer to Ban Luoc Pass.
Ride from Ban Luoc Pass to lunch stop. Continue on to Chien Thang and Tan Phong along sealed road and dirt trails. |
19:00 | Dinner at the homestay. |
Overnight accommodation: Ho Thau homestays. |
Note: A picnic lunch and water station will be provided on the trail.
Cycling Activity Description
We start the day on the bikes with a 4km climb back to the village of Ban Luoc. There we will get a shuttle (by bus) to the top of the Ban Luoc Pass where we get back on the bikes and enjoy a very fast downhill 8km ride on a concrete road to lunch (with one last climb to build your appetite).
After refuelling we head west into the valley and enjoy hardpacked trails through farmland and bamboo plantations on a 15km loop. Along the way we will pass waterfalls and local homes perched on the edge of the valley walls before the last climb of the day to the Tan Phong homestay.
In the afternoon relax with a drink on the deck of the homestay overlooking the valley, and marvel at one of the best views you will get in the area.

Cycling Activity Description
This morning we get to loosen up the legs with an 8km downhill ride to the village of Nam Son. The ride down offers plenty of great lookout spots for you to take photos, so be sure to have your camera close by. After an option for a quick coffee break, it’s time to get into a rhythm for a 7km climb out of Nam Son along sealed roads to a little shop at the top of the pass and a picnic lunch.
After lunch, we traverse the side of the valley along dirt trails to Kinh’s Homestay, the final destination for the day.
